Pooh Shiesty recently appeared in court in connection with allegations that he kidnapped and robbed Gucci Mane during an incident in Dallas earlier this year, a case that continues to draw attention as new details emerge.
According to testimony presented during a Wednesday hearing, an FBI agent identified as Handson stated that Gucci Mane had provided a statement to local police regarding the alleged encounter, which reportedly took place at a recording studio in the city. This revelation has quickly become a central and controversial element of the case, particularly in how it may shape both public perception and courtroom strategy.
During the proceedings, Pooh Shiesty’s reaction appeared visibly restrained yet telling. Observers noted that he leaned his head against the courtroom wall while shaking his leg, before later reportedly reacting with disbelief as further claims were introduced. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, challenged the agent’s account, specifically questioning allegations that Gucci Mane had been forced onto a couch while firearms were pointed in his direction. Agent Handson further testified that the Atlanta rapper allegedly told his security team, described as former Detroit Police Department officers, that they were “out-gunned.” Additional claims suggested that Gucci Mane instructed his team to stand down, a statement that reportedly prompted Shiesty to shake his head in apparent disbelief.
Outside the courtroom, tensions between the two artists have also surfaced musically. Gucci Mane appeared to address the situation directly in his track “Crash Dummy,” where he delivers pointed lyrics referencing the alleged incident and takes aim at Pooh Shiesty’s position. The tone of the record suggests little sympathy for Shiesty’s circumstances, reinforcing the ongoing divide between the two.
Despite the legal challenges, Pooh Shiesty’s camp maintains a composed outlook. Following a bond denial, his attorney stated that the Memphis rapper remains in “good spirits” while in custody. As the case continues to unfold, further testimony and responses from both sides are expected, with the situation remaining fluid both in court and in the public sphere.
